The River Is in Our Name
DARIMATI is built from two words.
DARI (다리) means "bridge" in Korean — the structure that connects two worlds. Gangbuk and Gangnam. Yesterday and today. Stranger and stranger. A bridge is not just a crossing; it is a meeting point.
MATI (마티) is an archaic Korean word for a horse's hoof — the force that drives forward, the primal sensation of motion. The act of running, at its most essential.
DARIMATI. The name itself holds a bridge over the Han River — crossing in the direction the river flows, forward.
A bridge is made for crossing,
but it is also the place that makes you stop.
That is what the Han River bridges do.
What You Can Only See from a Bridge
Seoul has over thirty bridges across the Han River. Each one connects two different worlds. But a bridge is more than a crossing — there are always people who stop on it. Standing at the exact center of the river, suspended above neither bank — the wind, the flowing water, time moving differently. Neither origin nor destination, but a pause in motion. That paradoxical space is what we design toward.

Darimati Running Shoes
Designed to move with your day — from work to the riverbank, no change needed.
The city is not a track. Pavement, bridges, slopes — irregular, hard, continuous. We design shoes that feel just as good the hundredth time as they did the first.

Capture
Recording the River
Our magazine captures the stories of those who cross and live around the bridges of Seoul’s Han River. Each issue focuses on one of the city’s 32 bridges, observing the unique neighborhoods and lifestyles that surround them.
From local families and independent brands to food, art, design, and running culture, DARI offers an unfiltered, human-scale view of the city, a quiet record of how people truly live and connect.

Connect
Dari Class. Running it together.
Running is one of the most direct ways to experience a city — faster than walking, slower than a car. In that in-between pace, you begin to notice more: the shifting scent of the riverbank, the changing light, the texture of the ground beneath your feet.
